The Fuels Institute has prepared this Privacy Policy to describe the types of personal and non-personal information collected through its Web site, and affiliated websites ("Web Site"), the use of such information, and to whom and under what circumstances the such information is disclosed. By using these Web Sites, you signify your assent to this Privacy Policy and to the Web Site's Terms of Use. Collection of Information

Personal Information
In general, the Fuels Institute only collects personal information from you when you voluntarily provide it to us by (1) creating a profile on the Web Site; (2) subscribing to one of the services, such as news, media, and magazine services; (3) registering for events; and (4) contacting the Fuels Institute (including the webmaster, customer service representatives, or other employees) by email. In connection with these activities, the Fuels Institute may collect personal information from you, including, but not limited to, your name, physical address, e-mail address, username, password, whether or not you are a Fuels Institute member, telephone number, fax number, company name, title, tax jurisdiction, credit card number, and credit card expiration date.

Non-personal information
As part of the standard operation of the Web Site, the Fuels Institute may collect certain non-personal information from you including, but not limited to, your browser type (e.g., Chrome or Internet Explorer), operating system (e.g., Windows or Macintosh), Internet service provider, IP address, and the domain name from which you accessed the Web Site (e.g., yahoo.com).

In addition, the Fuels Institute may collect information about your browsing behavior, such as the date and time you visit the Web Site, the areas or pages of the Web Site that you visit, the amount of time spent viewing the Web Site, the number of times you return to the Web Site, and other click-stream data. The Fuels Institute may use cookies or other methods to collect this information, which may be combined with your personal information. A cookie is a small text file that may be stored on the hard drive of your computer when you access the Web Site and which enables us to recognize your computer when you return to the Web Site. Cookies also allow us to remember your username and password so that you do not have to re-enter this information each time you login to the Web Site. 

You are always free to decline cookies, but in doing so you may not be able to use certain features on the Web Site. The "help" segment of the toolbar on most browsers explains how to configure a browser to not accept new cookies, how to have the browser inform a user when they receive a new cookie, and how to erase cookies from their hard drives. 

Use of Information

The Fuels Institute may transfer or otherwise disclose information collected from you to the following entities for the following purposes: (1) to the Fuels Institute's employees, independent contractors, subsidiaries, affiliates, consultants, business associates, service providers, and suppliers, if the disclosure will enable that entity to perform a business, professional, or technical support function for the Fuels Institute; (2) to employees, independent contractors, service providers, and suppliers of the Fuels Institute to fulfill a product or service request; (3) as necessary if the Fuels Institute determines that there has been a violation of the Fuels Institute Terms of Use; and (4) to respond to judicial process and provide information to law enforcement agencies or in connection with an investigation on matters related to public safety, as permitted by law. 

Children

The Fuels Institute does not direct the Web Site to, nor does it knowingly collect any personal information from, children under 13.

The Fuels Institute Web Site may contain links to other third party Web sites which may have privacy policies that differ from this one. The Fuels Instituteis not responsible for the activities and practices that take place on these Web sites. Accordingly, the Fuels Institute recommends that you review the privacy policy posted on any Web site that you may access through these Web sites.

Unforeseen Circumstances

In the event that the Fuels Institute or any of its assets are acquired by a third party, personal information acquired through the Web site may be one of the assets transferred.

The Fuels Institute reserves the right, at its discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of this Privacy Policy at any time. The Fuels Institute recommends that you revisit this Privacy Policy periodically to ensure that you are aware of the current privacy practices. Your continued use of services following any changes signifies your acceptance of these changes.
